Phil G Posted September 13, 2004 #1 Share Posted September 13, 2004 Hi ya-all; I'm brand new at this, although I've read with great interest all the comments from all around the nation. Here's my question. This will be our fifth cruise:) , but the first time to Progresso. Is there anything else to do there besides look at ruines:( ? We're not real big on that type of tour. Any ideas or experiences will be greatly appreciated. Can't wait for Nov. 14 and the Elation. Phil G
JJS2K3 Posted September 14, 2004 #2 Share Posted September 14, 2004 You could take a bus into Merida. From the pictures John sent me it looks like a beautiful city. hdawson Posted September 14, 2004 #4 Share Posted September 14, 2004 Progreso has a nice beach, but not good for snorkling. It's really on the gulf. Good restaurants accross the Malecon. I have some pics that I can share. John
