danklcsw Posted January 11, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 11, 2008 My DW and I will be staying in NO the day prior to the cruise but thought we would also like to spend some time after the cruise so we have a plane to catch at 4:15 pm on Sunday. Does anyone know a place where luggage can be stored near the dock after the cruise so we can do more sightseeing? One other option would be to pay a cab/tour guide to take us around and drop us off at airport afters. Does anyone have a referral info for this? Will also check this out at the NO board. danklcsw Posted January 13, 2008 Author #2 Share Posted January 13, 2008 I noticed this at the NO Port Homepage. Not sure what the cost is yet. Baggage Transfer Services Rush It Courier Service operates a baggage transfer service at the cruise terminals that will deliver your baggage from the terminal to the airport. This is a perfect service for those that have later flights and want to enjoy the sights of the City after the cruise and before departing for home. A great way to extend the vacation. We are also working on a system to deliver bags from the airport to the cruise terminal on arrival, to allow those early arrivals to start their vacations early. For more information and rates, call (504) 471-0080.

danklcsw Posted January 14, 2008 Author #4 Share Posted January 14, 2008 Thanks much - this should work out well for the day following the cruise so that we can do more sightseeing. Have you used them by chance?

pigfishinn Posted May 19, 2008 #6 Share Posted May 19, 2008 This luggage service is for those flying out, but what about luggage storage for those of us taking Amtrak? Any ideas on or knowledge on that? Thanks for any info.
JerseyJaguar Posted June 1, 2008 #7 Share Posted June 1, 2008 I love that they do this. I just went on an Alaskan cruise and my flight left too late to do the express luggage to the airport from the ship that HAL offers. Fortunately before I left my hotel I had asked if I'd be able to come back and store my luggage and they had no problem with that.

We are facing this problem as well and was wondering what to do. For just $25.00 for up to four pieces of luggage we will pick-up and transport your bags to your hotel, cruise ship* or to the airport. Additional bags can be included for $5.00 each.
