Cruising on NCL Dawn 2/10/08 and would like to go to Virgin Gorda Baths from Tortola--is it better to book shore excursion via cruise ship or try it on my own? Also, does anyone know what the $ savings is to do it on my own?

Thanks!!:)

My wife and I went to the Baths last Febuary and it's well worth the trip you haven't seen a beach like it in your life. It was so great, that we're going again in March! There is a Ferry service in Tortola. I believe it's called Speedy Tours. They Have a package were you can get lunch for a few extra bucks. The lunch is at a small local restaurant after you have visited the Baths, so make sure to eat breakfast and to save a little time before you head back to the ship. Oh and one more thing, you have to pay an additional $3.00 per person to get into the Baths, and a few bucks for a locker and a tip is advised.
