lovinsea Posted January 15, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 15, 2008 Would like to book ships tour that goes to the pitons by caramaran. I have never seen one (only a small picture in a brochure) It looks to be flat with no sides. If anyone has does the ships tour, can you describe what's it like, is there any seating, a bathroom and protection from the sun if needed? Would appreciate any info as I would like to book asap. Thank you. Ann
slthompson Posted January 15, 2008 #2 Share Posted January 15, 2008 I would like to know as well. Also, if anyone knows what charter company they use, would be great.
CalSisters Posted January 16, 2008 #3 Share Posted January 16, 2008 We did this off a Princess cruise a couple of years ago. I am not sure if all of the cruise lines use the same charter, but here is what my catamaran was like. It was quite large, had a flat deck with railings. There was an area up front and out back where you could sit in the sun, but there was also a covered area for shade. There were regular plastic chairs to sit on, as well as other areas around the railings. The bathroom was down a few steps, small but serviceable. There was a bar that served punch and alcoholic drinks all the time (there were a couple of people who had too much to drink). They also served a light lunch. They stopped along the coast on the way back to do some snorkeling. You could get off the front or the back and there were steps on the front for getting back on the ship. All in all it was quite a lovely time. My sister and I have some mobility issues (don't get around as well as we used to), but there was no problem at all. Hope this helps.
