Back to Back Cruise Question

We are going to take a back to back cruise on the Liberty this September. Does anyone know if we must debark and then reboard the ship. :eek: We plan to go on Sept. 6 and 13 also we are looking at booking the same room for both cruises. Thank you for any information you may have. :D

If you get the same room you don't have to move anything and during the first week you will receive info on their procedures since it seems to be different with different ports and ships. You will have to check out of the first cruise and check-in for the second cruise but with minimal hassle.

 

If you end up in different rooms then the steward will help you move things from one room to the other.

We were told that since we have the same cabin for both legs of the B2B, that we would be escourted through customs and escorted right back onto the ship. :D :p :D

If you are in the same cabin you will receive details of what to do about 2 days before the end of the first cruise.

You simply leave everything in your babin and will be told by the note / letter left in your cabin of all details.

If you are changing cabins your room steward will help you move .

We were on a b2b lat September on AOS.

All we had to do was meet in a lounge at about 9.00am i belive along with all other b2b guests.

We were there given special cards enabling us to get off the ship as soon as we liked and get back on again anytime after embarkation had started and then collect our new cruise cards.

It was really great not having to pack after the first week.

So good we are doing it all again later this year.

I would like to suggest that if you have to change rooms, as we did on our last b2b, that you contact the cabin person for your second room and ask him/her to make-up your new cabin first. (a few dollar tip helps) Long before we had to go off, we were settled into our new room. Our own cabin man was very helpful. He moved all our hang-up clothes.

Thank you to all who replied, for all of your information it is very much appreciated. We are booked into the same room for both cruises which will be nice not to pack and unpack again. I will go thru each thread and read everything about back to back cruising.

Hey Trepid, we're thinking alike. We were on the Explorer together in December and both are booked on the Liberty in September. You'll be completing your second week as we board for our two weeks. It's addicting, isn't it. :)

correct...we were supposed to get our new seapass cards...did not! got them as we exited the ship to go thru immigration-(you do customs at the end of the 2nd leg)...in Port everglades we were the last 6 pax off the ship...(there was one musician who was staying also...he was taking WAY too long!) immigration took literally 10 seconds....maybe 5 minutes total to walk off the ship, into the terminal, flash the passports, walk back onto the ship and get new photos for the seapasses.

 

they SAY they will link the new account to the CC used for the 1st leg..b ut they fouled that up, so when you get a minute, go to GR and have them do it!

 

they would NOT let us into the new cabin...the "guards' they posted near the doors to the new cabin very VERY nasty..and we had been told by a manager that we could go into the cabin if it was done!

 

B2bs are fun.....it's great to watch all the new peeps board the ship!
