Early or later sitting on an Alaskan cruise?

We are doing a B2B to Alaska in July/August and so far are booked on the early sitting going up and the late coming back down. Which sitting is best? We have only done one cruise last March through the Panama and our table of 8 was the last one out of the dining room every night at 10-10.30pm. Will we regret the early one?

I think you have made a good choice. By going one way with early sitting and one way late sitting, you will be in the best position to learn your own preferences, not what one of us might think is best.
