Children under 3: Explorer of the Sea and Princess

My sister has just been on both--Diamond Princess and Explorer of the Sea (RCCL) back to back. This is what she said about having 2 kids under 3 (25M and 6M) on both ships.

PRINCESS

1. provides baby food (gerber's) and rice cereal on board free of charge. They gave her enough that she used some for her second trip on the EOS.

2. you can't really smell smoke (from smokers) in public areas on the ship.

3. Princess let kids under 3 into the kids' zones if parents are there with them.

4. The food is much better than EOS.

Explorer Of the sea

1. No baby food

2. Smoke smell are everywhere in public areas on the ship.

3. Kids under 3 are not allowed in the kids' zone even if parents are willing to stay with the child.

4. If you are adventurous with food, EOS is not for you. They have lots of sandwiches, hamburgers, and fries (general American cuisine).

She said if you spend all that money on a 7-day vacation, EOS doesn't offer the kind of food Princess offers. She walked down the buffet line on the EOS and often times her plate would still be empty after she realized that it was the end of the buffet line, so she had to go back and fill her plate. On the Princess, her plates are always full.
