Bayonne Questions

We are sailing Explorer in June. My family has never seen NYC so we are sightseeing for a few days prior to sail away, staying at Hilton 6th & 54th.

1) Should we fly into EWR or LGA? and depart from same?

2) Cab fare and travel times between hotel and port?

I looks like LGA would be better inbound but EWR would be ideal to depart from after we disembark.

I would love some advice from my NY/NJ fellow cruisers!

Thanks!

If you leaving from Port Liberty EWR is the closest and least expensive 20 minutes to the airport and I think $30 to and from EWR, From LGA cabs are not required to take you and if they do routinely charge 100 or more. Even if you stayed in Manhattan a car service to Cape Liberty is more expensive than it should be with $60 or more being asked....
