? 6:15am flight FLL-?stay Miami hotel or FLL hotel

Hi, We(family of 4) are cruising out of Miami and are spending 2 nights post cruise in a hotel. First night definitely in Miami.

Do you think we should spend the second night in the FLL area or do as we were planning- by getting floridalimo to pick us up at 4:15am from our Miami Hotel(hoping to get Hyatt on Priceline but it is not looking too hopeful yet.) and going to the FLL airport for our 6:15am flight?

Is the traffic going to FLL really busy that time of Tuesday morning? IS the FLL airport busy then??

Does anyone have a reasonably priced (clean, safe) recommendation for a Hotel in FLL area??? I do not mind trying for something on PLine or Hotwire.

Since we have been to Miami(South beaches) before, are the beaches nice in FortL area?

We could rent a car, but would prefer not to.
