Room Service & Tipping on Connie

How do you tip for room service? There are posted amounts for waiter, ass't waiter, room steward, etc..., but nothing is noted about tipping for room service.

 

I'm assuming that if you order a bottle of wine to your room a gratuity is added because it is a liquor purchase. Correct?

 

What about ordering food that is on the room service menu? How do they work the tip?

Usually $1-$2 will do it. Have your money ready because they always seem rushed and don't hang around waiting for a tip, I think they don't expect one.

Every morning we order coffee. My DH sets it up the very first day to have the coffee delivered at 6am.(We are early risers);) Anway, my DH usually gives him $2.00 each time.

 

If it is food it just depends on what you order or how much. Then just tip accordingly.
