Tampa Hotel

Hi all, I am looking for a decent hotel for 1 night before our cruise out of Tampa. Has anyone used Priceline to get a good deal. Any info appreciated.

I got Sheraton Tampa Riverwalk Hotel for $76+tax on hotwire.

 

Someone on my roll call, that lives in the area, says it's a nice hotel and I got it at a good price.

Yeah, that is a good one. Right downtown on the Hillsborough River. Recently renovated, about a year or two ago. The beds at Sheraton are awesome, too!

Thanks for the info. I'd read mixed reviews about it and was hoping it was going to be okay. I'm not real picky....just a clean bed and a shower!

I got the Sheraton Riverwalk for Sept. 2008 for $66 for a Saturday nite. What a bargain! I always use Priceline for pre and post-cruise stays.

When you got that price what was the description of the hotel... i.e. 'Three Star hotel in Tampa North'... etc??

It was either 3 or 3.5 Downtown.

The Sheraton Riverwalk also overlooks the University of Tampa. Part of the university used to be an old elegant hotel. The spires (can't remember their real name) are really neat and wonderful to view at night.
