RCCL vs Celebrity with Teens

Have cruised 3 times, all Carnival.

Ready to try something else.

RCCL V.of the Seas sails out of Galveston March 2008

which is closer to home as opposed

to Celebrity Century out of Miami.

Have always heard that the Celebrity

ships are a little better, the food is a little

better and the service is a little better

than Carnival or RCCL.

Our past Carnival cruises were fun for

our kids however, who are 13 and 11.

Anyone sailed on Celebrity Century

or RCCL Voyager of the Seas recently?

and how would you compare the kids/teens

activities.

Have friends who sailed several months ago

on RCCL out of Galveston and loved it.

Would appreciate any advice.

I haven't been on either ship but I suspect the kids would prefer Voyager over Century.

Century is smaller with fewer onboard activities than Voyager. If you liked Carnival, I think that you will prefer Royal Caribbean- in that it is younger and more energetic than Celebrity.

Celebrity is a more adult- more sedate atmosphere as a rule. Although the shorter cruises do attract your fair share of partiers.

There will be kids on both lines though.

I would vote for Voyager. My kids really like these ships. I am thinking of switching to Celebrity once they get a bit older (16-17+) and no longer care about the activities. My kids were 12 and 14 last summer and loved all the activities on Voyager's sister ship, Navigator, as well as all the kids on board.
