Dunn's river fall's - Quick question

Hi,

Thinking of doing this tour with Marva or Orville on our up coming cruise.

Couple of questions-

What's the best thing to wear on your feet when climbing the fall's?

Im assuming you get very wet when your doing the walk up, do most of you get changed or just dry off naturaly before getting wet again doing the white river tubbing?

How far is it from the falls to the river?

Hi,

We have booked with Orville and he has been great to deal with so far:)

I believe you should wear water shoes or good sandals that strap to your feet.

When you arrive at Dunn's River Falls you are at the top of the falls. To get to the beach you just walk down a path. I can't remember exactly how long it took but by memory I am going to say 5 minutes or so...the last time we went I got sick that morning and was unable to climb so I rested on the beach and met everyone at the top with-in 1 hour.

I can't imagine there is a weight restriction. If you are capable of climbing then you should be good.

Have fun.

Vanessa

Hello everyone ! There is no weight restriction, but it can be very challenging climbing up the falls with the water rushing down and the sick rocks ! there are lockers you can rent to put towles and belongings in. As far as footware,a water sock type shoe is the best! Old tennies work well too, but you really need something that won't slip off your foot . Don't go barefooted!!! You can also rent rubber shoes for $5, but they're not much on your feet if you know what I'm saying !! You'll also be approached by the locals to buy their wares(legal and illegal) be careful and have a joyous time!!
