What is there to do in Town? and How far is the walk to the Fort!

We were in Grenada last year and chose to just walk around. The walk to the fort is about 10 to 15 minutes--at least half of it up a steep hill, so it's not for anyone with mobility challenges. Nice view when you get there, but nothing to see of the fort itself.

The walk to the fort takes you past the local market. We generally like browsing through those markets, but this one just seemed especially unattractive with nothing that "called" us, so we returned to the ship.

We'll be there again next month and are vacillating between staying on the ship and hiring a taxi to take us to the beach. (None of the tours are appealing to us.)

I'd love it if someone can show us we missed something in town.
