dubi1015 Posted January 29, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 29, 2008 Hello, I read about this great company Just Because of You on the boards, but when I went to call them, the numbers were disconnected and their website doesn't work. Does anyone know if they went out of business, or moved, etc.? Thanks for your help.
Thunderwoods Posted January 29, 2008 #2 Share Posted January 29, 2008 If I remember correctly, I heard the new requirements/restrictions from the cruise lines pretty much drove them out of business? I loved Shelly, she will be missed:(
dubi1015 Posted January 29, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted January 29, 2008 That's too bad. Are there any other companies that provide a similar service?
Rancher Dave Posted January 29, 2008 #4 Share Posted January 29, 2008 She did a great job...but changing times did cost the business the revenue they needed to keep on going. Apparently they still owe money to a lot of folks as well for payments made and not refunded and no delivery.
katiel53 Posted January 29, 2008 #5 Share Posted January 29, 2008 RCI changed it's policy regarding allowing gifts of alcohol to be sent to people onboard via outside companies. When this happened, Shelley went out of business and other companies were also not allowed to send any alcohol to the ships. They can still send other gifts, ie flowers, candy etc. but that wasn't what most cruisers wanted. With RCI the only alcohol that can be sent as a gift to yourself or someone else is wine. I, too, miss having the ability to have some wine other than what RCI has on it's wine list sent to the ships, but at this time, there's nothing available other than what RCI does. wrp96 Posted January 29, 2008 #6 Share Posted January 29, 2008 If you want to send a gift basket with no alcohol in it, you can try www.wellwishers.com If you want to send a bottle of wine, then you have to do it through Gifts and Gear on RCCL's website. kingsgirl Posted January 29, 2008 #7 Share Posted January 29, 2008 I am trying Well Wishers. I finally got a response back from someone yesterday. They too must be very busy. It took several emails/calls to get them back in touch with me. You will have to be persistant.
BayMan123 Posted January 29, 2008 #8 Share Posted January 29, 2008 That's funny I was trying to call Shelly today for a cruise in March. I got the phone disconnected message etc. but I did find their web site up and running. I guess we just have to dig a little deeper in our pockets for the wine. I just orderd some wine from RCL. Shelly was awesome!!!
