CatServants Posted February 3, 2008 #11 Share Posted February 3, 2008 There are newer pictures out there. The show the menu in actual 'menu form', but the items listed are the same. Hope this helps! As an aside, be careful when giving your e-mail address. Write it out rather than giving it in 'link' form. Would you be kind enough to send me a copy too please m8ned at hotmail dot co dot uk taking out the spaces of course. Many thanks JCLarkall....we're only a stones throw away from you in Airdrie. Have you been into the uk forum ? what a great bunch on there. Go to boards, then go to just for fun, floataway lounge and we should be somewhere on the front page. Lots of blethering and hints from a uk point of view and quite a few fellow scots too. Hope to see you there ! Happycruzer
NorCalCruiseGuy Posted February 3, 2008 #14 Share Posted February 3, 2008 One of the reasons I was looking forward to Conceirge Class on our last sailing was the extensive room service breakfast menu. I was greatly disappointed at the quality of the food which was served. As an example, The French Toast Fingers with Marmalade Butter was nothing more than ONE slice of french toast cut into quarters, served with a small paper cup filled with some sweet liquid I could not identify. The fruit smoothie had an off taste and was not very good. The food generally came cold when it was supposed to be hot, and really was not at all appetizing. After a few days we opted for fresh, hot croissants and coffee at Cova, or the breakfast buffet.
weluvcruisin' Posted February 3, 2008 #15 Share Posted February 3, 2008 We just returned from CC on the Galaxy. We found the room service breakfasts to be very nice. The french toast was only one piece but very thick, the smoothies were good. The omelettes were always hot, bacon crisp. We didn't have room service every morning, but the mornings we did it was excellent.

Lsimon Posted February 4, 2008 #23 Share Posted February 4, 2008 11 A.M. from the CC menu - how great is that - I'm not a morning person  On our recent Celebrity cruises they've had the breakfast buffet lines open until 11:30, very nice for those mornings we sleep in. While we do have room service on those mornings we're getting up on schedule for an excursion we don't often when sleeping in as we don't want to schedule ahead of time and it takes about 1/2 hour +/- from the time you call if you don't hang the card out the night before. Only time the late buffet was a problem was on our Med cruise on the sea day after four consecutive port days that had very long extensive and not-to-miss touring. The late breakfast was so busy around 11AM the lines were very long, as they do only keep one of many service stations open that late since they have to prep the other serving areas for lunch. How much does the CC menu vary from the normal breakfast menu?We want smoothies!!!! I don't have a copy of the regular hang tag menu, but I've heard differing accounts of whether you can order he items in the "Concierge Class" descriptions (including smoothies) in a non CC room. Some say it is no problem, others say they couldn't get them. Generally you can order anything served in the dining room for room service as long as it is within the dining room hours. However, on certain cruises we've not gotten some items "written in" on the hang card, especially on busy mornings (mornings in a port that is popular for people to get off the ship early). One of the reasons I was looking forward to Conceirge Class on our last sailing was the extensive room service breakfast menu. I was greatly disappointed at the quality of the food which was served.... We've had very mixed service for room service breakfast from cruise to cruise, and even day to day on the same cruise. For example some mornings they'll set up a table cloth on our balcony table and set out the dishes for us and on other mornings someone drops off the tray and that is it. Also occasional issues with hot food not being hot, incorrect orders, etc). It helps to keep the orders simple, and be flexible, on busy mornings. As I said above we usually prefer the buffet for those mornings we're not getting up on schedule. But on those when we do need to get up at a certain time for an early excursion the best alarm clock in the world is the phone ringing and hearing someone say: "Your breakfast is on its way". hugger Posted February 4, 2008 #25 Share Posted February 4, 2008 THANKS - One of the main reasons that we took CC was for the extended menu. It is one of our most delightful times on a cruise to have breakfast on our balcony in the mornings. I normally get in before DH as he's the casino until they close it down most nights. That way I can fill out the breakfast menu and put it out with the time I want to get up
