Choice of London hotels/neighborhoods - recommendation please!

We have researching hotel in London and have found some spectacular rates, but are worried about their location (as far as proximity to tube, sights etc). Has anyone stayed in these hotel/neighborhoods? What are your thoughts?

Montcalm Hotel Nikko in Marylebone

The London Bridge Hotel near London Bridge

Park Plaza Sherlock Holmes near Baker Street

No need to worry about their location, all are fine. The rates for hotels are a big step down by just going a couple of stops on the Underground from the expensive hotels in the very centre.

Of the hotels listed I'd go for the London Bridge Hotel. Its a very comfortable hotel next door to London Bridge Station. Just 3 stops on the Underground to Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, London Eye and you can walk to Tower of London, Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, St Paul's from here. If you are flying into Gatwick there are direct trains from London Bridge Station to Gatwick.

What do u think about staying in the Kensington area? It is near some attractions and the tube.

I love staying at the Hilton Islington - less that 5mins to the Tube station Angel. Plenty of places to eat and some nice antique shops.
