Cruise Terminal to ACA Airport

We’ll be ending our cruise - arriving in Acapulco the morning of 1/3/09, and regrettably, need to fly back home that same day. We may have a choice of an 11:45 AM flight, or a 2:45 PM flight out, and was wondering how much of Acapulco we might see, and what the best way might be to see (what our limited schedule) allows of Acapulco?

In San Juan, Princess offered a transit to the airport that also combined with some sight seeing. We’ve done that twice (once Old San Juan and once the El Yunque Rain Forest), and it worked out very nicely. Does Princess usually offer that kind of transfer in Acapulco? Thus far, we can’t find any info on the Princess site as it’s too far out.

Alternative suggestions are welcomed.

Thanks,

Terry

You'll want to be at the airport by Noon or 12:30 at the latest, so you'll have at least several hours to see some of Acapulco. Probably the best thing to do is to arrange with a driver, in advance, for a tour of the city later to be dropped at the airport. The company operating the ship terminal steers departing passengers to drivers it has relationships with whith whom you can book, or you can contact a dozen or so drivers heavily frequented by people when they come to town looking for this same type of service - but who are not part of the terminal operating company network.
