Liesje Posted February 5, 2008 #1 Share Posted February 5, 2008 I'll be in Cozumel on a day that there are 10 ships in port. Just how busy does the park get? Thx
Catfishhhh@aol.com Posted February 7, 2008 #2 Share Posted February 7, 2008 We were there 1-11-2008 had a great time. We arrived at Chankanaab about 10:30am and found plenty of tables and chairs in the shade, but by noon the place was full and we had 6 ships in port that day. I would suggest getting there as early as possible. We like the area by the restaurant and the restrooms. There are huge tables and chairs on the beach and the stairs leading into the water are right in front of the restaurant. We love to snorkel at this park. Saw so many fish and the cannon is about 100 feet off shore in about 15 feet of water looks cool. This was our third trip to the park. We have found this place to suit our needs and we enjoy it . travelmatron Posted February 8, 2008 #5 Share Posted February 8, 2008 Glad to hear Chakanaab is still a great place to be. We've never used water shoes at Chakanaab, but it is a rocky entry. The only time I've really seen people have trouble with it is when they've tried to put the fins on before entering (suicide), or by sitting on the rock stairs and trying to put them on there. If you hold the fins in you hands and swim out a little bit before you put them on you shouldn't have any problems at all. :)
