I am curious about something. Can you put money towards your on board account before you leave for your cruise? I was just thinking it would make it easier than paying with a credit card at the end (after reading about horror stories with the exchange rate, etc).

So I was just thinking why not put $700 or $800 on the account to cover tips and at least part of our expenses during the cruise. It would save using the card or carrying cash.

Is this possible to do?

Sure, you can...but why don't you just start a small account that will get some interest at your bank. I would rather have it in my pocket then theirs.;)
