Need help with snorkel guides in Bonaire

i missed out on an excursion that I thought might work for us and have found that the others listed on this board which are already booked so as our time grows near I am getting worried about doing Bonaire for snorkeling on our own - most here seem to think it would be better with a guide and now I am worried about doing this on our own and can't seem to find any guide who is not fully booked. Any suggestions ( not any who have been mentioned here - they are booked ). If not that any suggestions for the best place on our own would be excellent. I am not sure about driving since It is our first time there. How far is it from the docks to the Kleine - is it walkable? It is hard to tell distances with the books etc I have been reading. Thanks for any information
