Getting from Gulfport to New Orleans

We are flying into Gulfport, MS for our cruise out of NOLA, and I am trying to figure out the best way to get to the port. We are flying in the day before and staying at the Holiday Inn in Gulfport (NBA Allstar weekend, very full and expensive in NOLA). I really don't want to rent a car for the whole week just to get us from Gulfport to NOLA (and back). Plus we would have the expense of the parking fee. Renting in one location and dropping off in another is about the same cost. Does anyone have an idea of what the cost of a car service/taxi would be? The Holiday Inn website says $75, but the airport website says $125-$150. If it is more toward the higher end, than that is about equal to a weeks rental as well.

 

We got the $10 tickets on SkyBus to Gulfport, so for our family of 4 airfare was $80 (+taxes). So I think the extra hassle is worth it, but I am trying to keep this "great deal" from costing an extra $500.
