Has anyone in a WC been to Chankanaab Park in Cozumel, Mexico? are there paved walkways or is it all sand? the website mentions that they have beach wheelchairs but we have never used one of those before. are they easy to push in the sand??? any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Paul

Its been awhile since I was there and I haven't been there in WC, but as I recall the paths were very compacted and trail-like in the picture below. (From http://www.cozumelparks.com/eng/info-faq.asp ) It is very beautiful and the iguanas are entertaining - look for them in the trees if you don't spot them on the trails.

FAQ #7. Do you have handicapped facilities within the Park?

Yes. We have ramps, roads, bathrooms and sand wheel chairs available.
