Beach in afternoon

I signed up for scuba diving certification program and which is to end around 12:30. I am a sun worshiper and would love to spend some time at the beach. Any suggestions to a beach close to the Port? Taxi ride or walking distance.

If all you want is a beach close to the port to lie out in the sun, then Great Bay Beach might be just fine for you, but I would suggest that you don't go into the water there.

 

There are chairs for rent and drinks and food available, it's close to the ship; hard to beat if you don't need to go into the water.
