Paulras Posted September 20, 2004 #1 Share Posted September 20, 2004 I can't seem to get a straight (or any) response from Cunard. Does anyone know if you can get advances in the casino on your sign & sail card on QM2 to play in the casino? I know we were able to on past Carnival and Celebrity cruises but some cruise documents we received over the weekend made it sound like you couldn't (although it wasn't worded very well). We'll be on a 10 day in November and I hate to have to worry about bringing lots of cash on board - I don't mind leaving with it though!
Rare Colin_Cameron Posted September 21, 2004 #2 Share Posted September 21, 2004 Hi, I know what you mean."...all purchases made onboard must be charged to this account, with exception to postage stamps and casino chips." However, from the onboard daily programme. "Sign up to $1000 per day in coins or chips to your on board account....Please note there is a 3% service for each transaction." Regards, Colin. wulicny Posted September 21, 2004 #3 Share Posted September 21, 2004 Is there a charge for cashing traveller's checques?
mtohio Posted September 22, 2004 #4 Share Posted September 22, 2004 Hi, I was on the QM2 for the June 11th caribbean, and you can charge casino chips to your onboard account; though there is a service charge and a daily limit [which I think is $1000]. No charge to cash travelers checks, and I even saw them accept travelers checks directly at the craps table. Hope this helps. BTW, the craps dealers were quite funny and the gaming was great.
