Is It Beach Weather The End Of March, Early April At Key West....???

You are from New York so the water here should feel pretty warm for you. Temps are normally in the 70's that time of year and nearshore waters are often warmer than that. One word of warning though...be sure to shower after swimming at the beaches. Occassionally some of the beaches have warnings posted regarding higher than normal bacteria counts. Not an uncommon occurance on MANY Florida beaches, however, it isn't always something the tour magazines will tell you. It rarely causes problems but I would recommend playing it safe anyway!

Thw water may be a little chilly and March is windy here, so getting out of the water is defiately chilly. Sometimes I swim in a long sleeve tshirt, helps with sunburn too. Be sure to bring some canal shoes or a ratty old pair of sneakers so the bottom doesn't gross you out (seagrass). Canal shoes are under $10, they are basically mesh slippers.
