?? about St Thomas excursions

wishful thinking

Hi!

My wife and I were on the Crown last week and did do this excursion.

IMHO, it IS worth the money.

We descended to 80 feet and saw PLENTY!

I would be happy to email some pictures with you if you're interested. Unfortunately I don't have a way to post them on line for all to see.

Happy Cruising!

Hi all.

I have a question. Has anyone done the Atlantis Submarine excursion on St Thomas and is it worth the $$. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. :)

I am an engineer and have seen and done my share of 'wow' technologies. I gotta say that the Atlantis sub excursion was one of the most memorable things I've done in my nearly 50 years.

If you're a sucker for aquariums and such, double 'wow'.

It really puts things into perspective in terms of the planet. Even better, my daughters, chatty as ever, were silent thru the voyage, taking everything in. Amazing.

Had buddies who did the sub in St T and they loved it. We did the Atlantis Sub in Aruba and thought it was great.

It's one of those tours that you should do once.

The best time to do it is on a clear day with the sun high in the sky (noonish) so the light is as good as possible below the waves.

I can't be that bad - can it????

I think the actual sub dive is pretty uneventful but getting there involves a lengthy boat ride in a tender-sized craft, which, depending on the weather, could be interesting. The craft meets the sub way out to minimize wasting time for the sub.
