alwaysmomof1 Posted February 13, 2008 #2 Share Posted February 13, 2008 When we were on Half Moon Cay we ate at the BBQ. They had hamburgers, chicken, hotdogs. They also had different salads, beans, cookies and drinks. After spending the day in the sun this was a nice bonus!:D
Rare GaryWT Posted February 13, 2008 #3 Share Posted February 13, 2008 The area is off the beach, somewhat central so you can walk from wherever you are. The ship cruise brings everything over from the ship and sets up the buffet. It runs for a while but is not a party, just food and plenty of seating. It is not bad. The island is great fun no matter what you do.
Pugs Posted February 13, 2008 #4 Share Posted February 13, 2008 Do you pay for the BBQ or is it provided by the ship as lunch?
Bunkie103 Posted February 13, 2008 #5 Share Posted February 13, 2008 Everything is provided without charge, except for alcoholic beverages, which would be charged to your sail and sign card. We enjoyed the BBQ on our last visit there. They have tables in shaded areas near the BBQ. We're also on the 4/21 sailing.:D

billfish Posted May 2, 2008 #9 Share Posted May 2, 2008 The BBQ was great . It is best to show up early in the process in that some of the more popular (RIBS) seem to be unavailable early. the lines are long and they do a poor job directing traffic. I know this sounds negative but overall Half Moon is a Great Trip
earlethepearl Posted May 5, 2008 #10 Share Posted May 5, 2008 I second this. Don't wait too late to go or you WILL miss out. Last time there I was busy doing other things and when I decided to go grab a bite, they were cleaning up! And we still had a couple of hours left on HMC. chellencrette Posted May 6, 2008 #11 Share Posted May 6, 2008 earlethepearl~how early do they usually begin running out of the "good stuff"? We have booked an excursion from 11:45-1:00....will there be anything left? I know you said they were packing up early and you still had a couple hours left when you were there. Thanks! earlethepearl Posted May 7, 2008 #12 Share Posted May 7, 2008 I would say if you get back at 1:00 head straight over and you might get something. Seems like it was maybe 1:30'ish or no later than 2:00 it was wrapped up. Because we sailed at 4:00.
