Where to stay pre/post cruise

Can anybody give me some advice about where to stay - we have 1 night pre and 1 night post cruise. We were thinking about 2 different locations, The English Harbour and St John's.

We know people that stayed at the Inn at Nelson's Dockyard and loved it. I would spend the other night at a beach like Dickenson Bay. Take a look at the Sibony Hotel the garden and pool are heavenly.
