Train from MIA to FLL

Has anyone ever taken the train from the Miami Airport to the FLL airport? I hear it is only like $3. We were wondering if it would be cheaper to do that-- and then get a shuttle from the FLL airport to the cruise terminal in Fort Lauderdale. Anyone ever tried that? :) Thanks for any input!

The train you are looking for is called the 'tri-rail'. It does have a bus connection from the train station to the airport in Miami and Ft. Lauderdale. So don't be in a hurry, it does not always run on time.

 

You could get a cab to the port from the train station - so you wouldn't need to go to FLL.

 

There is a 'super shuttle' from the airport but at a higher cost. Let us know how it goes.

Thanks, MaryAnn- We are not sure exactly what we are doing-- but trying to check out the most reasonable mode of transportation. Will let you know if we try that! Anyone else have any experience or knowledge about this? Thank you:)

What is the super shuttle pls. is it reliable? I think the tri rail, after a flight from the UK and 2 suitcases between two ofus might be too tiring! Just searching for a way of getting from MIA int. to a hotel, as yet not booked, near the FLL cruise terminal.

Supershuttle is a shared ride service. For two or more people a taxi is usually more economical and certainly a faster way to get to your final destination. After your long flight make it easy on yourselves, just grab a taxi cab. ;)
