Buying Pop before getting on the ship

Is there a place close to the airport or dock in San Juan that we can buy diet pop?:confused:

there really is nothing close to the pier. we are staying in san juan the night before our cruise and will pick up caffeine free sodas near the hotel. if you are flying in day of cruise, ask your cab to stop at a drug store or grocery store while you run in and get some, it shouldn't take but a minute.

right in the port terminal (Pan American Pier for Empress), they have a duty free store that also sold pop. I stopped and asked if they had caffeine free diet coke but they carried diet coke. I don't know if they had diet sprite. It looked like they were offering the same pop options the ship had. They have a big sign saying "you can now buy your liquor before boarding the ship, same prices as the ship". I asked the clerk, how they could do that and she begged off saying she didn't know when it would be delivered to me. I told her, on the last night. But for Empress it was actually the day of disembarkation, you have to go to Boleros between 7-8 am to pick up your liquor purchses made on shore at the ports that they tagged when you brought it back onto the ship. I don't think they'll confiscate pop if its a reasonable amount, I've taken 8 pks on before.
