shipnc Posted February 15, 2008 #1 Share Posted February 15, 2008 We are arriving in Amsterdam several days before our Viking River cruise. I know that you can't access your room until later in the day of departure, but I was wondering if they have a capability to store luggage until you can get into your room. The hotel makes you leave early and ship prevents you from checking in early, so we want to avoid sitting on our luggage all day long waiting! Thanks for any info about this. Bill S Posted February 15, 2008 #2 Share Posted February 15, 2008 Yes, you can drop your luggage off at the ship before boarding/check-in time! We did this in 2006 on the morning of embarkation day in Amsterdam, for our Viking cruise. We checked out of our hotel about 9am, caught a cab to the river-cruise ship pier and Viking took our luggage, tagged it and put it in the lobby. They told us the bags would be put in our cabin later in the day. We then took a day trip to Delft, returning to the ship about 3:30, checked in at the front desk, and sure enough, our bags were in our cabin! Hope this helps, and hope you have a great cruise! shipnc Posted February 16, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted February 16, 2008 Bill...thanks for the info. We'll plan on doing the same thing, but try to do an extra trip to Keukenhof (sp?) that day in addition to the ship's tour. Can't wait!
