Where is the Majesty?

Did anyone see the bridge cam? There looks to be two ships in fromt of the Majesty. Is this St. Georges? It looks very unfamiliar, were they re-routed?

I just posted the same question. I think they may be at the Dockyards but I am not sure. Perhaps it was too windy to sail through the cut.

According to the weather channel they have clear skies and not real heavy wind. Although Hurricaine Jeanne I believe may be a threat in the next 72 hours. Is Dockyards more protected?

The dockyards are in Bermuda. I don't know that it is more protected over there but it would allow for an easier exit than St. George if they are expecting to get winds from Jeanne later in the week.

I noticed that too, I thought that it may be pointed in the other direction at St George, but I really cant tell.

This is quite a mystery. In looking at it, it appears to almost be beside the ship in front of her. Is that the way the Dockyard is set up?

I dont think that the Celebrity ships dock at the dockyard, (could be wrong, wouldnt be the 1st time). I think they dock at Hamilton and St George.

Patty, You're right. She was behind us in St. George when we docked. Its the third ship in the picture that has me confused. I didn't think there was room for three?

I didnt think there was room for three either. There were only 2 each time we were there.

It looks like St George to me in the usual berth. The Horizon appears to be at the next peir and I think that the other ship is the Crown.

I watched as they were approaching Bermuda and I do not believe they went through the cut into St. George.

I don't see where this looks anything like St. George's. Hopefully someone that returns Sunday can clear this up. Then again,can just ask myself! I am going on a tour of her on Sunda morning, I can just ask myself.

Is it possible that the bridge cam is really not on the Majesty? I'm thinking that it is kind of strange that the yellow circle appreared at this sailing, and now an unrecognizable port. Is it possible to have the bridge cams crossed? Maybe I'm way off, obvioulsy I'm not a technical guru.

I am pretty sure it is the Majesty because the orange circle was there last week when they were in St. George. I e-mailed one of my friends from the ship so hopefully I will get an answer. I did mention it to my husband who is a former Majesty employee and he thinks they are at the dockyards as well.

Being unfamiliar with Bermuda, what impact does this have on the cruisers? We are planning a 6/05 cruise on the Crown.

It really isn't much of an impact at all. Hamilton is on the other side of the Island with more shopping and beautiful beaches. Although I prefer St George's I'd be happy in either location. I don't think you will be affected at all in June. I think this was just a weather related port change. Either way Bermuda is beautiful and easy to navigate around either by bus or taxi.

The big orange circle was on the Majesty last week. Does anyone know what it is for? I hope they are able to move the Majesty to St. George before they leave on Friday. It is such a great place to stay! I prefer the quiet of St. George to the hustle and bustle of Hamilton.

I'm with you, I prefer St. George's. However, I'll take Hamilton over being re-routed to Canada. That would certainly be a big adjustment.

While I was looking at the article, I went to the paper's home page, and found an article about 7 crew members from the RC Empress, who are filing suit vs. RCI as result of an accident that occurred in Bermuda. During a lifeboat drill for the employees, the boat fell 60 feet into the water, injuring all 7, and some of them quite serious. There are several links to related articles.

I read that article last week. That was just awful. They had to fly one of them to Boston because his injuries were that serious. I hope they're all recovering nicely now, and I don't blame them for the lawsuits. That lifeboat never should have fallen like that.
