Northern Lights, not the book, the aurora borealis

I will be fulfilling one of my life long dreams, visiting Alaska on my early June cruise. Another one of my dreams is to see the aurora borealis. Has anyone ever seen the northern lights in the summer in Alaska? I know that it's a very, very long shot but if there is a possibility I dont want to miss the sight. Is it possible?

Sorry to say, but Alaska can show the Northern Lights and the Midnight Sun at the same time.

The luckiest viewing times are mid-Sept and mid-March but they can be seen from time to time all winter.

This winter has been a poor one for the LIGHTS.
