Turtles Nesting in Tortuguero end of March?

This would be a good reason to take the tour. It looks like that should be about the time, according to my guidebooks. Anyone see this?

Just googled this and it says that you cant see the turtles except at night and by restricted guides. Of course that is in the National Park perhaps your info was a different location.

Hi from Costa Rica,

 

from February to April you find some Leatherback turtles nesting. The real turtle season in Tortuguero is from July to September, when many Green turtles come. s you put the information correct: sea turtles come to nest at night !

 

Tere is no chance to see them when doing boat trips with the ship. You are having your boat ride far away from the actual Tortuguero national park and you travel along some canals which are fed by rivers while sea turtles nest on the beach by the open sea.
