pg moorea-location of anchoring

For the most part it does. I have heard that every once in a while it doesn't and I don't know the protocol, maybe other ships get there first. Both times I went, we were in Cook's bay and it was unbelievable! Hope you get that splendid sight!

Our first time, we anchored at Cook's Bay. Our recent New Year's cruise, we anchored at Opunohu. I *HOPE* you end up at Cook's Bay. There was just nothing to do at Opunohu, and we were pretty disappointed that we had to take a cab to Cook's Bay for shopping, etc. (it is definitely NOT walkable). The pearl cabs will be willing to take you to Cook's Bay for free, but you can't go anywhere but where their pearl shops are.

 

On the other hand, when we sailed out of Opunohu, our views were incredible - much better than Cook's. So there's always a silver lining in the cloud!!!
