mafig Posted September 20, 2004 #26 Share Posted September 20, 2004 Sue, were any of those tornados that hit last night near you? Probably not, since you're on line now. The weather is SO wierd all over the US now.
Missybud Posted September 23, 2004 #27 Share Posted September 23, 2004 Hmmm...Bastardi's crystal ball must have been functioning. Ivan, the storm that doesn't want to die! This fellow seems to be breaking all the rules.
ahracer Posted September 23, 2004 #28 Share Posted September 23, 2004 But that is still a very minor change compared to the path these others have described. Their considerations would be impossible even to a science fiction writter. Unless of coarse, reality isn't taken into consideration. woodofpine Posted September 23, 2004 #31 Share Posted September 23, 2004 The OP is correct... Ivan looped over Florida day before yesterday (notice the blustery winds SUE) after having passed into the Atlantic as a deleted unnamed system. Hurricane Hunters confirmed however that the system had maintained its counterclock-wise rotation, it reassembled in the Gulf yesterday as tropical depression IVAN. In fact, this is unprecedented in modern weather tracking. Ivan is expected to strengthen into a low level tropical storm of same name before passing into Texas today. Louisiana will get windy rain today. Pretty weird season - eh?!

KAJOKG Posted September 23, 2004 #36 Share Posted September 23, 2004 http://www.emergencyemail.org/jeanne2004.asp Sue -- Thanks for the web site! As of this moment, Jeanne seems to be on the same track as Frances and likely landfall is exactly where that was...in Stuart, right over us again! There is a chance it will just brush the coast and head north. Let's pray!!!
