Hampton Inn Plantation area restaurants

There's an upscale Mexican restaurant called Cantina Laredo that is quite good (the guacomole made at your tableside is delicious). The Smoky Bones Barbeque is excellent as well. There's restaurants nearby for every taste.

There probably are some non-chain restaurants, pizzerias etc. I hate to say it but I've only eaten at some of the nearby chain restaurants in that area after a hectic day of shopping. The Cantina Laredo is unlike any chain restaurant I've ever been in (foods too good to be a chain) .:p

Bequia,

Are the restaurants in walking distance from the Hampton? Any other non-chain restaurants? And a place to purchase wine?

Thanks!

When we there there in November, there was a couple liquor stores Hampton offered to drive us too (in the hotel's van). They were willing to drive us to a larger liquor store so we could stock up on wine/etc...since we had our own wine from home...we just needed beer (lots of beer). Just ask the front desk and they'll hook you up...and probably even drive you there. They drove us to one just off the nearby grocery store. They also drove us to dinner and picked us up...can't remember the name of the place, but it was a BBQ place. Pretty good.

We will also be staying at the Hampton Inn Plantation and were wondering if there are any seafood restaurants nearby that you would recommend.

We used to live in Fla. and miss the fresh seafood!

Thanks for your help! :)

There is a seafood restaurant within walking distance of your hotel called Grumpy Dicks. There is also a Red Lobster in the same shopping center area, a little farther north. Heading back south on University Drive (not walking distance, but not too far away is a Quarterdeck restaurant that also has seafood, burgers etc.
