NG13Girl Posted February 27, 2008 #1 Share Posted February 27, 2008 Hi everyone. Does anyone know how and where you can sign up for a tour of the kitchen? We will be on the Crown. My daughter loves to cook, and we wanted to see how it all works. :)

DougH Posted February 27, 2008 #4 Share Posted February 27, 2008 I believe that these tend to be on the last sea day and is usually just a walk thru. I've had a couple more personal ones after the "most Travelled" luncheons but you don't see nny more just get some more explanations about the way things are done. Sometimes there are also "backstage" tours from the dance group and these are also pretty interesting
weberman Posted February 27, 2008 #5 Share Posted February 27, 2008 On the Emerald Trans-Atlantic in October the kitchen tour was free and started out in the Princess Theater where hosted by the Princess Executive Chef (in charge of all food planning for all Princess ships) happened who to be aboard. They put on a cooking demonstration with the Emerald's Head Chef and the main ding room Maitre'D. It was a little comedic and actually very good. After the show everyone got a tour of the galley (kitchen). It was fascinating. It was quite interesting and they were selling (pushing) the Princess cook books. We bought one as a souvenier and had it autographed.

Agree with that. The regular tour, although interesting, is a quick walk through with very little actual cooking in sight. The Chef's Table would be great for her if she likes to cook AND likes to eat.
