Earthworm Jim Posted September 23, 2004 #1 Share Posted September 23, 2004 I'm wondering if a pool or pools are usually open while the ship is in port. We may decide to only go ashore briefly at one or two stops and spend the rest of the time hanging around the hopefully uncrowded pool. But since the lines I've been on previously empty their pools at night, I wasn't sure if they'd refill them for a day in port or not. (I hope they fill them out in the open water rather than in the presumably more polluted harbor or at the pier) I'm going on the Miracle to the W. Carib. if that matters. Thanks. herb Posted September 24, 2004 #4 Share Posted September 24, 2004 During the cruise, even if it is a port day, the pools are open. Not everyone is interested in leaving the ship. Some use it as a day to explore the ship and go swimming and relaxing without the usual throngs of people around. The only time where a pool may or may not be open is the day you get on the ship. Some cruiseships may have one pool open or only the hottubs or nothing at all. That depends on the cruiseline.
