PV - Westin or Krystal

We are two adults 13 & 11 yr old visiting PV while on a cruise

We contacted the Westin and they said that the price is $15 per person to use the facilities.

Forgetting about the cost - which would most people choose and why

We are just looking for a place to relax, go on the beach, use the pool, etc

We will probably do that for a few of hours

What else would you suggest we do. We are in port 8am until 11pm

We aren't looking to do any adventures things like ziplining, ATV rentals, etc

We are doing these at some of the other ports we are visiting

The Westin is a beautiful resort. Much more modern and newer than the Krystal. It is a little further from the port. We walked it with two kids (ages 14 and 13) and it was not a problem. We enjoy walking to take in a little of the flavor of where we are. You may want to take a cab however to save time. The Krystal is an easy walk from the pier. It is also nice but just a little older and feels more Mexican (not a bad thing).

I would like to echo O2Bcrusin's post for the very same reasons. Yes it is walkable from the port but I wouldn't recommend for safety reasons. There isn't a sidewalk along the busiest stretch of highway. Marilyn and I walked it last fall and wouldn't do it again. Yellow taxi outside the port property is $3.50 USD each way for your entire family (four people in the taxi). A trip downtown is about $5 USD for the family and a walk along the Malecon is worth the trip.

Enjoy!
