Is Freestyle 2.0 implemented on Jade while in Barcelona?

Is it safe to assume that the Freestyle 2.0 program will be initiated on The Jade while she is undergoing a re-naming transition in Barcelona?

I believe NCL has all of 2008 to initiate the 2.0 on their ships. Not sure when you are sailing.

Good Luck:)

Just off the Panama Cruise on the Jade Yesterday. The Captain held a briefing for the passengers on the 28th of Feb, He told the Jade would be updated to Freestyle 2 in Cadiz Spain and would be the First ship to completely incooperate all the new changes before she sails.

Thanks for the update Sr. Sea Dog. It is only logical that the Jade would be the first to update, but sometimes NCL defies logic. I appreciate your confirmation of this implementation.

Our cruise is April 11 so we will be among the first to experience this update. I hope Freestyle 2.0 amounts to more than the coupon booklet we received on our last sailing. Sometimes these changes are nothing more than a bunch of rhetoric.

We'll see.

And Senior Sea Dog, did the Captain confirm the nasty rumors that the laundriettes are being removed?

Fingers crossed,

Clay

He did not but on our cruise there were three self service launderettes that my wife and I found . No soap as soap machines were empty and some machines were out service but my wife did one load on deck 11 .( located just forward of the mid ship tower/stair-elevator..starboard side) the other decks were 9-10 in approximately same position.

Hey Senior Sea Dog, how did you enjoy the Jade? Love to hear more!

I love the JADE...it was an awesome cruise.... The transit through the canal was my high light althougth I also was pleased with Cartengna as I had rumors about troubling conditions there but I found the opposite to be true. There were the normal complainers but usually of a mole hill problems. The crew was mainly international with some hold overs from NCLA that were training the new crew some who were from othe ships within NCL family There was a small temp. casino on the six deck. The food choices seemed more numerous than I had experenced on the POAM on my two other cruises with NCL. The cleanliness of the ship in general was excellent and my room steward went out of his way to please.

They will be removing all staterooms on deck 6 to make room for the casino. All launderettes will be removed as well as two bellboxes. In place of the launderettes and bellboxes they will add more inside cabins. All of these changes as well as others will take place in Spain during the two week wetdock.
