Distance Livorno docks to Livorno Station?

Does anyone know the distance from where the Grand will dock in Livorno, to walk to the Livorno station? We are planning to catch the train from there. Just wondering if it is walkable as I read in another thread that we could get held up waiting for a taxi to take us to and from the station.

The station is to far away to walk, really several kilometers.

The fastest option to get to the station is a taxi, the cheapest option is taking the free shuttle bus to the city centre, if offered (I do not know if all cruiselines do), and the public bus (€ 1) to the station.
