The dock in Hamilton

I am going on a cruise to Bermuda next month! I read that the dock in Hamilton is closed to be fixed up. What is going on? Can I still enjoy Bermuda and Hamilton? Help please!

Hamilton is just a short water taxi ride from either St. George or the dockyard.

 

I believe it is about 20 minutes by water taxi from the Royal Dockyard. It might take less time to go by bus if you are going from St. George.

Large ships are now docking in Hamilton less frequently. In the past most passengers in Hamilton would return to their ship for meals. Now you have to take a small ship, pay a fare, to get from the wharf (et al.) to Hamilton and back.

 

Restaurants are going to profit from this change.
