JZCruiser Posted March 4, 2008 #1 Share Posted March 4, 2008 I am considering cruises to the Misty Fjords and the Kenai Fjords. Are they similar or different? Is it worth doing both? A little background info…I am on the Coral Princess 5/26/08 northbound itinerary from Vancouver to Whittier. After the cruise, I will be doing an independent tour that includes taking the train from Anchorage to Seward to take the Kenai Fjords cruise. How similar or different are the two fjords? Should I skip Misty Fjords in Ketchikan and do another excursion? Thanks for your help!
Budget Queen Posted March 5, 2008 #2 Share Posted March 5, 2008 They are completely different, but Misty Fjords by air is superior in my opinion. Do not expect a lot of wildlife with the Misty Fjords boat tour.
bjksgk Posted March 5, 2008 #3 Share Posted March 5, 2008 BudgetQueen - I have a question along these lines for you. We are taking the Kenai 6 hour boat tour and the Tracy Arm all day boat trip in Juneau. I have also booked McKinley flightseeing with the glacier landing in Talkeetna. I would love to do the Misty Fjords flightseeing as well but the cost of these trips is killing me. Considering what I AM getting do , would I really miss out by not doing the flightseeing in Misty Fjords? Thanks for your opinion on this!!
