Do the markets take Euros or credit cards?

All markets are taking EUROs (should include Budapest and Prague). As for credit cards it depends on the market. The bigger ones you should be able to pay with a credit card (except for the food booths). In most cases it still might be the old sliding machines.

We found, 2 years ago, that it sometimes depended on the vendor too. Some of the larger vendors would take a credit card and others only wanted cash. And like Steamboats said, the food vendors only took cash.

 

When are you going? We will be on the GCT Basel to Amsterdam Dec 1. Can hardly wait for this year to go quickly!
