What time to board

What is the earliest time anyone has been allowed to board a Carnival ship in San Diego? Just wondering how early we can get to the port and be able to go inside and wait and what time they will start boarding. What's the earliest you get to the port in San Diego?!?! How early are the baggage handlers there as well?

I would not get there until after 11am. You don't want to be mixing your luggage with those who are just leaving the ship. They will start boarding at any time once the ship has been completely cleared with the previous passengers. Your cabin probably won't be ready until sometime after 2pm, but they will allow boarding early---you'll just be waiting in a public room until the cabins are ready. Most times, they begin boarding anywhere from 11:30 to noon.
