Transportation from Miami Airport to Cruise Port in Ft. Lauderdale

Looking for an "easy" ride for my father to get from the aiport in Miami up to Ft. Lauderdale Port Everglades any suggestions??

Hire a limo and have them meet your Dad at baggage claim. Or tell you Dad to hop in a taxi. For the right price, I'll fly down and personally drive him.

Sorry to hijack this post but was wondering how long a trip it is from MIA to port at Fort Lauderdale. We are looking at booking a flight home that leaves MIA at 12:30 pm after our cruise arrives at the port in Fort Lauderdale. There are no good connections for us out of FLL, all are around 11:15 am and that to me is way too early. But considering the drive from port to airport maybe it won't be much different? Any help?

Not much difference between 11:15 at FLL and 12:30 at MIA. With no traffic, you'll save only 40 minutes. Try to walk off the ship with your own luggage or be among the first groups off. Then you can go from FLL.
