Booked On Board - Can I Now Change to Celebrity

Recommended Posts

I've been scouring the boards but I haven't found the answer to this question.

I booked a cruise while on board RCCL. I did not use Next Cruise but picked a specific cruise. I now do not wish to take this cruise but would rather take a Celebrity cruise. Does anyone know if you can transfer your same booking number to Celebrity (to retain OBC) or do you just have to start all over again with Celebrity and get a new booking number?

I do know that you CANNOT transfer a Next Cruise to Celebrity. It clearly states that on the form... but haven't seen anything on the topic I posted above.

Also, for those who have booked a Celebrity Cruise WHILE YOU WERE ONBOARD a RCL cruise, what OBC did you get? Is it the same as RCCL or is it dramatically different?

Thank you.

Yes, you can change your booking from RCI to Celebrity by keeping the same booking number since you did not use a NextCruise booking.

However, with Celebrity, your OBC will be determined by the total cruise fare only and not the number of days being sailed.
