Grandeur of the Seas

Recommended Posts

My son is on the cruise leaving today, I talked to him at around 3:30, he was checked in and waiting to be transported to the ship. I guess they couldn't dock in the regular spot due to the wind. All passengers were given a 20.00 on board credit. I haven't heard from him to see how it was going.

My daughter & friends are also on board. We dropped them off around 2:30. I talked to her around 8:00. They were late departing due to having to bus everyone to the other terminal and were expecting high seas tonight but other than that all is fine. Hopefully once they get further south the weather will improve.

We sailed on Grandeur in 2006 on the 13 day repo from Baltimore to NOLA. The last day and night the seas were 25 feet. We had an aft cabin, and slept like babies. Grandeur can handle the bad weather.

The ship was at terminal 8 I think- we followed a bus after we dropped my daughter & her friends off:) It was only about ten minutes away from terminal 3, where it was originally supposed to be. It was very windy & the change was because of the direction the wind was coming from.
